The Gardner family ran the Newcastle Gateshead Sport Relief Mile last time and raised £50.
This could pay for four football training sessions for children like Oliver. He has autism and finds it hard to interact with other people.
His mum says that the football project is a lifeline to him. "It's just brilliant. It makes him feel part of a team".
