Youth Groups

What’s your challenge for Sport Relief 2008 going to be? You can come up with your own or pick one of our fantastic ideas. If you are setting your own sporty challenge, here are some simple ways you can raise cash.

Pay to take part – e.g. pay £1 to play crazy golf.

Pay to watch – e.g. pay to see a football match between youth leaders and members.

Get sponsored – e.g. get sponsorship from friends and family to run a mile.

Sell – e.g. sell healthy homemade snacks at your sporty event.

A few ideas to get you started

  • Obstacle course – a mile-long obstacle course, see who can finish it!
  • Football festival – dribbling competitions, keepy uppies and penalty shoot out with youth leaders in goal!
  • Try a new sport – learn how to break-dance, skateboard or even unicycle.
  • Games marathon – pool, table football and not forgetting twister, which is always a favourite.
  • Dance-mat challenge – judges can decide which person has the most rhythm.
  • Orienteering – exercise both mind and body with an exciting treasure hunt activity.
  • 3-legged football – Don’t get in a tangle during this game!
