Cracknell's Cross-Continent Challenge

James Cracknell is undertaking the biggest, most gruelling, challenge of his life! He's making his way from the UK to Africa by rowing, cycling and swimming his way there in the fastest time possible and he's doing it all for Sport Relief.

Back Cracknell – sponsor him now!

What's the challenge?

James will be attempting to…

  • Row the English Channel
  • Cycle more than 1395 miles through France and Spain to Gibraltar
  • Swim the treacherous Strait of Gibraltar
  • Stop for just 4 hours in every 24 throughout the whole thing.

This extreme endurance challenge will push his physical and mental strength to the limit.

What's happening now?

James is deep in training before his challenge begins.

It's all due to start on 28th February but he needs the right weather and tidal conditions before he gets going - so watch this space!

Why is James doing it?

After James' recent visit to Ethiopia to see what a difference Sport Relief makes to people's lives, he's only got one goal in mind - to raise as much cash as possible.

Help him do just that - Back Cracknell and give what you can to spur him on.
