Rugby club fundraising

My rugby club couldn't do the Mile last time because we had a fixture that day, so instead we asked our opponents if they wanted to make our match a fundraiser. We charged spectators a couple of quid to watch, sold tea and coffee and had a bbq. To make it more interesting we played in fancy dress - we wore shirts and ties and our opposition played in skirts!

Good Idea - I might try that

Good Idea - I might try that with my Sunday football league. We could have a fancy dress tournament - maybe every player could pay a little bit extra to play and we could do a bucket collection around the spectators during the match. Anyone who's done anything similar - advice much appreciated!
