Everyone got sporty!
Staff in Newham’s Contact Centre teamed together to hold a sports day to raise money for Sport Relief. Throughout the day we had activities suitable for everyone, such as a three-legged race, ‘legs bums and tums’ classes, ball control, ten-pin bowling and golf through a Wii, and much, much more!
We also had an auction and sold raffle tickets for some great prizes donated by our friends and contacts in local businesses. The total amount raised was a fantastic £1567.00!
At 6:45 p.m. over 100 volunteers were ready, waiting and very eager to give up their evening to take donations over the telephone.
This is the 3rd year Newham Council’s contact centres has been involved, and volunteers said they had such a good time, and were glad they helped such a worthy cause.
