HBOS General Insurance Sales Call Centre in Leeds took part in Sport Relief again! Over 140 volunteers were ‘on duty’, taking 2428 calls which led to a fantastic £82,167.69 in donations.
Our most senior personnel joined in on the night and Julia Davies, Head of Sales said she was delighted that so many colleagues took the time out to support such a great cause.
In the week leading up to the event, activities included daily 'Sport Relief Sweepstakes', the 'Sport Relief Sock Sale', a painful sponsored leg and chest wax and a Sport Relief themed 'Dress Down Day'.
On the night, in addition to taking donation calls, the volunteers took part in a 'Kids Sports Day', 'Sports Pub Quiz' and a sponsored cycle. The event was generously supported by local companies including restaurants who donated food and refreshments for the evening. Rugby Clubs Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers gave us ome signed merchandise which were grand prizes in a Sport Relief raffle. The local activity raised an additional £701.70!
